Working with you in these COVID-19 times

Following from our letter 17 March 2020, we would like to further update our operational changes as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Protecting our Staff

Both our Clinpath Collection and Courier staff have the required PPE to continue to collect and pick up specimens, including respiratory collections if required. All staff carry and use hand sanitizer and follow any directions issued by your own individual sites to maintain safety. Additionally, we have purchased blue cotton face masks as part of our uniform.

Flu Vaccination

All Clinpath staff are provided with access to a free Flu vaccination annually. We are aware that as of 1 May 2020 any staff entering your facility will need to show proof of their vaccination. We can confirm we will comply with this change.

Collections Management – Mobilising our service

Our service remains firmly in place. In fact, we have increased our domiciliary service to include oncology and immune compromised patients at home. We also encourage any independently living aged residents to request this service should they require a pathology collection, without having to leave their home.

Courier Management - Reducing paper transfer

Clinpath will move to cease the distribution of paper reports. We have requested all clients to use SonicDX, to in turn reduce paper copies requiring courier support, protecting our staff while reducing the transference of COVID-19 across the paper format. If this causes an issue within your own operations, please have a conversation with Stephanie.

Courier Management - Specimen Collection

Our courier services remains fully operational and will continue to pick up samples from your sites as required. We ask, where possible for you to have a single pick up point for samples to limit any exposure and reduce the time on site for these staff. We are also happy to install an After Hours box onsite if you think this option would work better for you. This allows our staff to pick samples up from a central point, outside the building, eliminating the need for them to enter your facility.

Stephanie Hubbard our Aged Care Coordinator is also available to discuss any issues with you via 08 8366 2000.

Kind regards,

Brooke Kenny
