Dr Suchitra Somers is a graduate of
the University of Adelaide. Following internship at the Royal
Adelaide Hospital, she practised as a general practitioner for a
year before commencing her pathologist training at Flinders Medical
Centre with a rotation at the Women's and Children's Hospital.
Suchitra continued her pathologist
training at Kings College Hospital in London and then took a
position as a consultant at St Georges Hospital before returning to
Adelaide joining Clinpath as a histopathologist in 2005.
She is a member of the Royal
College of Pathologists (Aust) and is a visiting specialist at the
Breastscreen Review meetings.
Special areas of interest include
Gynae and Breast Cytology; GI and Urology pathology.
