Dr Michael P
Metz
BS, MD, FAAP, MAACB, FRCPA
A graduate of the University
of Nebraska College of Medicine in the United States, he trained at
the Charity Hospital of New Orleans, the University of Minnesota,
and the Children's Hospital of Cincinnati. He holds American
general medical and pediatric qualifications.
In Adelaide, he trained further at the Queen Victoria, Adelaide
Children's and Flinders hospitals. He obtained the MAACB and FRCPA
as a registrar at the Women's & Children's Hospital and the
IMVS.
Currently he occupies the
chair of the state branch of the Australasian Association of
Clinical Biochemistry. He assesses laboratories for NATA and is a
clinical senior lecturer at the University of Adelaide. He serves
as a member of the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry
Task Force on Pediatric Laboratory Medicine. He joined Clinpath in
2006.
Michael's overriding interest
is the role of the laboratory in assisting with patient management
and he is always happy to be involved in the care of
patients.
