Dr Jonathan Allin graduated from the
University of Cape Town in 1979. He commenced pathology training at
the University of Cape Town in 1987 and qualified FRCPA in
1994.
Jonathan commenced work as a
pathologist in New Zealand gaining general pathology experience at
Med Lab Rotarua for approximately 3 years before accepting a
Histopathology position in 1997 with Med Lab Central. He
moved to Australia in February 1999 taking up a Histopathologist
position with North West Pathology co-located with the public North
West Regional Hospital and the privately run West Wing.
In 2002 Jonathan joined Clinpath
Laboratories. He maintains an interest in the broader aspects of
general surgical pathology and has worked closely with Dr Svante
Orell in FNA cytopathology.
Jonathan is a member of the
International Academy of Pathology, Australasian Division and the
Australasian Society of Cytology. He has presented cases of
interest to the IAP Companion Meetings, most recently at the Annual
General Meeting in May 2009.
